Dear forum fellows,
I have some Atari ST hardware here in Bogotá, Colombia.
I will be moving to Germany next year and I am aware this hardware will not work there (because of the frequency difference, here we have 60 Hz and there, as far as know, it is 50 Hz).
I am not interested in getting money from this hardware but I would like to give it to anybody who appreciate and use it.
I have this hardware stored in my attic.
If anybody is interested, as far as I remember, I have this:
One 1040 STfm, with Rainbow TOS (1.4) One color monitor (Atari brand) One Supra 30 Mb harddrive One external floppy drive (Atari, double sided) One 520ST Mouse, joysticks (2, Atari brand)
Many, many floppy diskettes. A pair of original games (Sim City/Populous, etc) Some Compute! magazines, some Compute ST magazines and a pair of Start magazines.
All hardware was working the last time I used it (around 5 years ago).
I would give this free, but who get it must pay the transportation fees :-)

The frequency of the electrical current in an country should not affect the working of your computer. Have a look at your power bricks. From what I remember ATARI ST stuff already supported the whole world, from 110 V to 240 V and 50 Hz as well as 60 Hz. There were problems with TVs and monitors having different display refresh rates but that should not be a problem since you do have a monitor.

Hey, just came about this post. My father and I would be really interested in purchasing the whole lot of items. You said no money but shipping's gonna be expensive to get it to Quebec, Canada. Just let us(me) know if you still want to give them away, and how much shipping fee we need to plan for!

Hello Francois,
I still want to give them away. I am more than happy giving this hardware to somebody that appreciate and use it.
I have no idea about the shipping costs. If you can investigate by yourself, as I said before, I am located in Bogotá, Colombia.
I guess DHL could be a good option.
On the other hand, if you are really interested (I gues it is so), it would be better communicate directly through email or, better, whatsapp. Please give an email where I can write to you.
Best wishes,
Pedro

Great, I just sent you a private message not to put personal information in a public forum (no offense, but this is the internet afterall)

Dear fellows,
My offer is still alive.
I don´t want to send these hardware to "electronic garbage" and I would be more than happy giving it to somebody who appreciate and enjoy it.

Shipping cost to Germany would be a few hundert Euros, and even if the Atari stuff is a gift the German receiver might have to pay import duties around a 100 Euros.
