Hello there, As some may know, I am one of the most active beta testers here (At least to my knowledge) and I thought to introduce myself for the first time. I am 13, yes a 13 year old writing this, about a game more then 30 years ago in the remake. How cool!!! I found this by looking up "Space games" and in a video, SunDog: Frozen legacy popped up. I got AppleWin and launched SunDog: Frozen Legacy for the first time! I played about 15 Hours before I said. Wait. Let me look this up.... maybe there's a newer version.... as I was scrolling through YouTube of a "Update" I found the ST version and, I found Jake's video on how to start a game in the remake. I was like, YES A REMAKE and found this! 👋 DVT

I always appreciate when I come across someone who's able to appreciate media, be it games, movies, music, or whatever else, that is outside the time that they grew up in. It's surprisingly rare. While it's not always the case, I find that many of the younger people I know are far more interested in modern media than anything else.

Heh, most ppl I know can't stomach slow games (which Sundog is a part of... kinda). Even old RPGs which where decades ahead of their time (like the Phantasie series) or Master of Orion 2, where ppl complain of "micro management hell". Now I agree to a point with Moo2, but it really is not that bad (and a proper remake would fix that in no time as the planetary management could be automated by AI or by a pre-saved building list that the game would build as soon as it becomes possible to do so). Much respect indeed. Even game developers (generally speaking) have forgotten how to create good slow games or games with a modicum of "micro management" like equipping marines in X-Com and basic stuff like that. It pains me to say, but I wish there'd be more like us that appreciate these types of games and until our number grow (I mean ppl will get tired of 8hrs games with no depth eventually,. right? right!!?) I guess we're not getting much of them. Much respect to ppl remaking them as well... Welcome DVT and it did surprise me you're only 13. You seem far more mature and "alert" that that for sure !
