Hi, Hello.
Sundog:Frozen Legacy was my absolute favourite Atari ST game. I found it in the early 90's and played it to the end many, many times. I used to print off the end screen on an old dot-matrix colour printer and my son stuck the prints on his bedroom wall. He was too young to play but used to love watching me. He's all grown-up now.
Sundog was ahead of it's time and, I believe, created the 'Find 'Em Up' genre of games.
Having just seen David Braben re-write and re-release Elite, Sundog's main rival for my gaming-time in those days, I'm delighted to find this resurrection of Sundog and really hope it gets off the ground, no pun intended.
If there's a beta or a testing version available, I'd really like to have a go.

Welcome! You're so right about Sundog being ahead of its time. Heck, in some ways it STILL is ahead of many modern games.
FYI, they haven't released a public beta just yet. However, once they iron out all the bugs they know about in their internal testing (that sadly I am not a part of) they've announced that there's going to be a public beta. I can't wait.

Hey ZedThree! Welcome to the community! You are right - Sundog was way ahead of it's time, and I've really grown to respect that as we've recreated it. For a game constrained to the space limitations of a mid-80s floppy disk, it maximized every byte and pushed boundaries beyond its peers.
We're working hard to get things ready for a beta. As always, family and work burdens get in the way of things, but we are steadily pushing the project forwards. Stay tuned!
