I am currently working on checking out a new build of the game and recording discovered bugs and improvements. We're getting there, folks!
Oh, excuse me: some random guy on the street in Drahew is offering to sell me a dose of Snarevine Protoplasm for 830 credits... Should I buy?

That is correct! It's a bit of game artwork we just drew up, based heavily on the artwork for the original game. It's a work in progress and has already been altered further, but I figured it might be fun to toss it out there for you to see.
GAME UPDATE:
In the past week or two, we've done more work on the bug-testing and fixing, in addition to some changes, fixes and additions to the game's graphics and maps. There's always something to fix! lol...

OKKKkkkk.... it's been a while and I apologize for the lack of updates. Things have been busy! However, progress has continued and the latest build contains the following new features and updates:
1) The ground scanner only available in Banville at phase 5. This will force player to drive around planets in the first half of the game - this is something that many people have suggested and will add a new dynamic to the game.
2) As you now must explore the planet surfaces until you reach Phase 5, there are rewards for the extra effort! Random ship wrecks now appear on planet surface, waiting for you to discover them. These wrecks will give you credits, ship parts or cargo! Happy exploring.
3) Various other improvements to game play and screen layout
4) Many bug fixes have been implemented.

Sounds good!
Can you give an estimate of Beta-Test starting date already?
Sorry, I'm so impatient...

The coder Wai Hong Ho and I are actually discussing that right now. We think we are pretty much where we need to be in regards to features and function - it's just a matter of bug squashing and if it's ready enough for beta. But we are close - very close. Stay tuned...

Ok, so here is an update: We are currently still squashing bugs but things are looking pretty smooth and stable for the most part. We are adding some improved character animation and new 2D graphics, additional sound effects, and game play features.
We are also working on documentation for playing the game - when we release the beta, the testers will need to know how the play the game! Also, just like we need feedback on the game, we could use feedback on the documentation as well for accuracy and clarity. Originally I was thinking about doing a series of videos, but I think written documentation is easier to browse through and digest, especially if English is not your primary language. (There MAY or MAY NOT be some test Sundog Resurrection videos on YouTube...)
Currently I'm drafting the documentation in two parts: a "user manual" for the Sundog which is probably what you'd find in the Sundog's glove box (just like your car when you bought it). This user manual will teach the new owner of the starship how to use and maintain the ship's navigation and weapons systems. Meanwhile, there is a "game manual" that is more like your typical game documentation about starting a game, playing, loading/saving, player stats, etc.
So that's the latest... Stay tuned!

So basically all the effort I've put into trying to be patient and not get my hopes up for a release any time soon is smashed into smoldering ruins...
I can hardly wait.

lol yes it has been a long wait. By the looks of it, tho it should not be much longer. if they are working on documentation, that's a good sign. Thats something you do at the end.
